Hello!

My name is Selah Holley and I am a certified therapeutic animal nutritionist through the NAVC (North American Vet Community) program. To give you a little background on who I am, I live in a small town called Marysville which is just north of Seattle where I’ve also grown up most of my life. For the past five years, I have been the manager of a pet store, which has deepened my passion for animals. I have several pets of my own, including my dog Charlie, who is the inspiration behind my site and lovingly known as the ‘LittleBlackDawg.’ In addition to Charlie, I have a guinea pig named Pumpkin, a tortoise named Oswald, and even my own fish tanks! Something I’ve always been passionate about is nutrition not just for myself and my family, but also for my pets. Nutrition is one of the most crucial aspects of a pet's well-being and can impact many areas of their lives that you may not even be aware of. Every day at work, I assist many pet parents in navigating the overwhelming variety of pet food and supply options, which can often lead to confusion and poor decisions. My primary goal is to help you find high-quality products, especially when it comes to your furry friends' diets. I aim to provide the same level of guidance and support here as well!

Check out my post here on getting your kitty to eat and avoid stress eating! Or maybe here for essentials on hiking & traveling with your dog.

My certificate of completion from the North American Vet Community. A RACE-approved program. For more info on RACE programs click here.
